Inside the Bayes Centre

Supported by the Edinburgh and South East Scotland City Region Deal Data-Driven Innovation Programme, the Bayes Centre is the University of Edinburgh’s Data-Driven Innovation Hub hosted by the College of Science and Engineering. 

Through activities across education, research, and innovation, the Centre works to power the interaction of people, data and systems, harnessing world-leading data science and AI research for the benefits of the economy and society.  
The Centre will host up to 600 researchers, students and partner organisations from a variety of sectors, from healthcare to robotics. The multi-disciplinary nature of the Bayes community and its innovative approach to delivering real-world impact will allow the University support Edinburgh and South East Scotland in becoming world-class Data Capital of Europe by mobilising academic excellence in education and research, leveraging funding opportunities for translational research and developing strategic relationships with commercial and public sector partners.
